En 1979, dans les sous-sols de la Défense, le quartier d’affaires de Paris, ouvre le Pacific Club, première boîte de nuit à accueillir les Arabes de banlieue. Azedine, 18 ans à l’époque, nous raconte l’histoire oubliée de ce club et de ceux qui l’ont fréquenté.
In 1979, the Pacific Club was opened in the basements of La Défense - the business district of Paris. It was the first nightclub for Arabs from the suburbs. Azedine, 18 years old at the time, tells us the forgotten story of this club and of this generation who dreamed of integrating into France but who soon came face to face with racism, the AIDS epidemic and heroin.
