A class of French schoolchildren asks their American pen pals: What is the Wild West? With their teacher’s help, the young Black students—hoping to put an end to stereotypes—talk about their daily lives and describe their region. The school bus picking them up at the edge of the ghetto, scenes of them rehearsing a Wild West dance in traditional costumes, follow scenes of Pioneer meetings and images of affluent suburban neighborhoods.
